Nekoma

Sire Nekoma is the most well-known son of Ico and had a lot of international show jumping successes with Jürgen Kenn in Germany. Nekoma was competing in Rheinland-Pfalz, Hessen and Holstein and is spending his retirement Nock-Outin Austria.

At the age of seven Nekoma took part in the Hamburg Derby. He jumped a height of 2m30 several times in puissance competitions. He has also produced excellent show jumpers in Germany, which are successful up to S level, and almost a dozen stallions.

Even at a young age, Nekoma was highly successful at some of the most famous tournament venues in Europe. At the age of 7 he qualified for the Hamburg jumping derby and was the youngest participant in this difficult course. Nekoma achieved numerous victories and placements in major prizes and power jumps up to 2.30 meters under his constant rider Jürgen Kenn and thus achieved a lifetime winnings of over DM 100,000.

Nekoma`s sire Ico was a Dutch check stallion, descended from the Trakener stallion Marco Polo after Poet XX. In addition to Nekoma, Ico produced other well-known stallions and sport horses such as: Ilasso or Irma la Douce. Nekoma`s dam Harmonie goes back to the two Dillenburg state stud stallions Edelmann XX and Carlos.

So far he has produced 9 licensed sons in Germany. In 2004 13 competition horses were in action in Germany, two of them in class S. His grandson "Little Paint" was 3rd of the cross-country horses under eventing rider Frank Ostholt at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf and 3rd at the World Championships for young eventing horses in Dijon.
