An abscess in a horses hoof is a common problem, but below is a riding horse who suffered with a severe abscess and needed specialist work to stabilize the hoof and give it some protection. Unfortunatly the owner didnt follow up on the extra care needed and the hoof had extensive separation and damage and the horse required a resection to repair the problem.
