William Steinkraus

William Steinkraus: The Legend of Show Jumping William Steinkraus was an American equestrian, born on October 12, 1925, in Plainfield, New Jersey. He was one of the greatest show jumpers of all time, and his legacy in the sport is still felt today.

In addition to his Olympic success, Bill Steinkraus won numerous other international competitions, including the Grand Prix of Aachen, the most prestigious show jumping event in the world.
