Meet the Snowman the showjumping star with a cinderella story, a former plow horse snowman was on hus way to the slaughterhouse when fate steped in and saw him purchased by a New York riding instructor Harry de Leyer for $80. He arrived late at the auction on the look out for horse for his riding school and snowman was waiting to be loaded on the slaughter truck when he caught the eye of Harry.

Used in the riding school Harry de Leyer recognized the jumping ability in Snowman as he struggled to keep him in his field as he was jumping out, so steps were taken to begin his training. Two years later Snowman was becoming a regular in the winning circle, and a career that lasted 5 years he would show himself as a real star. Below you can watch a video of the famous horse in action
