Quantum

Quantum, a Holsteiner stallion, is by Quidam de Revel, who finished 4th individually in the Olympics of Barcelona and bred the stallion/grand prix winners Nabab de Reve, Dollar de la Pierre, Guidam and Verdi. Quantum’s dam is by top sire and sire of sires ‘Cor de la Bryere’ who bred the Grand Prix jumping stallions ‘Calletto I’, ‘Corrado’, ‘Corland’ and ‘Cordalme Z’ .

Quantum himself completed his approval as reserve champion. His granddam Ella also bred the stallion’Constant’ who was sire of the great olympic competitor and stallion ‘Chin Chin’. His great granddam, Dorette also bred the good sires ‘Roman’ and ‘Farn’, the latter the sire of the great grand prix jumper stallion and sire of sires ‘Nimmerdor’.

Out of his first crop, Quantum produced four international performers;

– Quin Chin, ridden by Manuel Fernandez Saro
– Quintero Ask, ridden by Rolf-Goran Bengtsson
– Karatina, Penelope Leprevost and
– Qena, Janne-Frederike Meyer.

Quantum is also the sire of Quintero Ask, his first approved son and one of the most talented jumpers of the Holsteiner Verband. The athletic stallion stands out due to the carefulness, power and overall quality of his jump. Scoring 144 index points,he was the best jumper in his stallion performance test group. Ridden by Lars Bak Andersen, he qualified for the Bundeschampionat at five and six years old, placed 3rd at the Bad Segeberg state championship, placed 5th at the Lanaken young horse world championships at the age of five and took 7th place at 6 years of age.

Quantum is also the sire of Quality TIme, up and coming stallion of Team Nijhof.

Breeding Suggestions
Quantum produces horses with blood and spirit and good jumping instincts. That spirit may take some time and tact early on but is an aid in the competition ring later on. He suits most types of mares physically but probably mares that are too temperamental should be avoided.
