Meet Tinkerbell, an American Miniature foal who underwent surgery to fix her hind legs so that she can walk without splints or casts
This is Tinkerbell, an American Miniature Horse foal who recently underwent surgery at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine & Veterinary Hospital to fix her hind legs so that she can walk without splints or casts. The procedure is usually only performed on adult horses due to fractures, but in this instance it was a lifesaver. It was the first time this surgery has ever been done with new Locking Compression Plate technology, and only the second time overall. Here`s to a quick recovery for Tinkerbell!
