His father Hand In Glove is a son of Best Turn - who has produced CSI jumpers and top dressage performers such as Shining Moment. Hand In Glove himself raced, competed up to Prix St Georges Dressage and World Cup show jumping. His mother Miss Betty is 3/4 sister to top TB sport horse producer French Buffet`s sire, and her grandsire is Double Jay - also grandfather to Gem Twist.
Elvira Mail bred from a young age - Jaguar is her first foal, her next was Katchina Mail (Calvaro), winner of the Stuttgart Masters, the Grand Prix at HOYS, and bronze medallist at the Kentucky World Equestrian Games. Elvira`s 3rd foal, Loren Mail, jumps in national Grand Prix. Elvira has two full brothers, Chergar Mail (Nations Cup) and Fergar Mail (also known as Chapultepec la Silla), CSIO winner and father of Lamm de Fetan and Classic LS. Grand dam Adoret also bred Hoggar Mail (by Hand in Glove) who was French 6yr old champion.
Jaguar`s achievements in sport show a sympathetic ride - he was steadily produced, jumped national Grand Prix at 7, won the La Baule GP in 2005 and 06, won the Sires of the World in Lanaken in 2007, competed in the Beijing Olympics - and then in 2010 competed in the French Young Rider team, winning the YR Championship.
As a sire, Jaguar is known for passing on not just his keen mentality and TB agility, but good looks, and movement and balance that have propelled him to be leading sire of young Eventers in France. From his first foal crop, the stallion Play Again D`Orchival was vice champion at the National 3yr old assessment, and quickly bought by Jan Tops. He has been chosen as sire to ET foals of Headley Brittania, and amongst others, the 4* mares Little Tiger and Fachoudette have been sent to him. His foals regularly impress at shows for their suppleness and balance.
