On Nov. 20, Emmons and Nicole Scott and Mel Smith’s 6-year-old stallion did it again, this time capturing the Senior Working Cow Horse title with a combined score of 444. The win, comprised of a 219 in the reined work and a 225 in the fence work, earned the team $9,844 out of the 67-entry class that had a $54,062 total purse.
The second victory at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City was a surprise to Scott.
`Last year, which was our first World championship and Ron’s first World championship, was so emotional that I didn’t think it would ever happen again,` the Dunnigan, Calif, owner said.
