Dressage Stallions

Gribaldi

Gribaldi is currently in great demand, and became the number one sire in Europe by consistently and reliably producing very high calibre offspring.

Gribaldi was the 1996 Champion at the stallion grading in Neumunster. Under Dutch team rider Edward Gal, Gribaldi has become an internationally successful Grand Prix dressage horse.

Gribaldi already has 10 licensed sons, including Anky van Grunsven`s Painted Black, who is currently performing extremely well at Grand Prix, and Hofrat, sire of the fabulous Hanoverian Champion Stallion 2006 Hotline. Based on the performance of Gribaldi`s 7- and 8-year old offspring, the KWPN have recently proclaimed Gribaldi a Keur stallion.

In 2000 Gribaldi`s first foals were evaluated at Neumunster. He was the sire of the Reserve Champion Stallion, and also of the approved stallion Distlezar, who sold after approval for $300,000 as a three year old. In the same year Gribaldi was the sire of Denmark`s Champion stallion Zardin, and of the Danish approved stallion Rivaldi.

In 2001, Gribaldi again sired the Reserve Champion Stallion and repeated his success in Denmark. The successes of Gribaldi`s offspring since then have been substantial, being highly placed at inspections, and competing very successfully.

Wonder - Wonder descends from the chic, black Trakehner stallion Gribaldi (Kostolany x Ibikus) with which Edward Gal is causing such a furore at present in the light tour. Dam Kim is, just as the dressage stallion Krack C (Anky van Grunsven), a product of the stallion Flemmingh (Lacapo x Carneval). Grandam Gerdien O is, just as Finesse (Marlies van Baalen) and Galliano (Barbara Koot) are, a daughter of the dressage horse producer Aktion (Pion). The dam line goes back, via the stallions Papillon (Pastrocio xx) and Nicolas xx, to a Gelders lineage of origin.
